Budva's Old Town, or Stari Grad, is a maze of narrow streets and stone buildings that date back to the Venetian period. Just outside the Old Town, Slovenska Plaža is a popular beach, but for a quieter spot, head to Mogren Beach, a short walk through a shaded path from the Old Town. If you're visiting in summer, the Sea Dance Festival on Jaz Beach is a highlight, drawing international acts and thousands of music fans. Budva's hinterland offers more than just coastal beauty. A short drive inland takes you to the village of Lastva Grbaljska, where you can experience traditional Montenegrin life and visit the 15th-century St. Sava Church. The area is also known for its olive groves, which produce some of the region's finest oils.
